National Youth Chess Association 2010 match report
Under 14 Inter-Association Championships The Staffordshire U14 team came joint 6th at the NYCA Championships held at the Abraham Derby Academy in Telford on Saturday 25th September 2010. Ten Teams took part and the overall winners were Kent. 2 Players from the Staffordshire team won medals for best board — Athar Mehmood (board 1) with 4 / 4 and Jacob Cartlidge (board 8) with 3½ / 4. All of the team worked hard against an overall tough opposition and deserve congratulations on the success they achieved for the county.
